Mental Health Sessions

Mental Health Sessions support clients navigating issues with depression, anxiety and trauma symptoms. Andrea Rae uses a mindfulness-based model, psychoeducation and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, to support clients to balance difficult emotions, navigate challenging relationships, and establish a healthy path forward.

During sessions, Andrea Rae:

  • Teaches cognitive behavioural strategies.
  • Utilises stress reduction strategies, and education regarding the stress response.
  • Develops a plan to support clients to manage depression and anxiety symptoms.
  • Provides education on meditation and mindfulness to manage stress.
  • Supports clients navigating difficult or toxic relationships.
  • Helps formulate anger management plans.
  • Provides support for parents of children with learning difficulties or autism.
  • Develops activity-based mental health support programs.

Andrea Rae works with clients experiencing:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Social anxiety
  • Stress and overwhelm in the work environment
  • Transition to a new career/job
  • Symptoms of PTSD due to past trauma
  • Complex PTSD
  • Grief due to the loss of a loved one

Additional Information

Mental Health Sessions are covered by medicare under the Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Referrals are made to Andrea Rae via your local GP.

Andrea Rae is also registered with the NDIS for the provision of services to children with autism.
